Ninja versus Shuriken

I addressed my concern to Dr. Wan and he said as the moderator, he'll ensure that all debaters will be treated with dignity and no emotional or personal lashes will be treated okay.

I thanked him and exited his office. He applauded. Talk about enthusiasm..

I noticed Munirah posted a new bulletin on Friendster entitled 'Lost with Honour.' Among others mentioned in her post was, "Ma'wa was emotional, but acceptable (to me)." Yes, of course.

The debate today against Shuriken School consisted of Muhaqquis, Ashraf, Widad and Naim. Ashraf was wearing pink. What is it with guys and pink?

But a writer in Fanfiction once wrote...
"Good," Sakura said punctually noticing Kakashi’s sliver eyebrow raise in response.

"Good?" he questioned and Sakura felt it her obligation to enlighten him since he was such a useless man.

"I like men who are comfortable enough in their masculinity to admit they don't have a problem with the color pink."
Our motion was the same as the first one and enough said, Ninja Turtles prevailed with a three-mark increased from our last debate. Not much to say, just that I know we didn't really do our best.

Even the fluent me was slightly stuttering. Slightly, but stuttered nevertheless. It was miraculous that we won. Contemplating it all, the Shuriken was better than Barney; point-wise and dignity-wise.

Being honest with you guys, I was very looking forward to the Shuriken's performance. You see, this is, like, the second OLC presentation for Muhaqquis, Ashraf and Widad.

Perhaps because it's always the same old face doing the talking, a new change of view is very much welcomed.

Ninja Turtles was the champion from International 1 class so next week we will be debating the champion from International 2 on the topic 'Foreign worker: Asset or Liability.'

At the end of the debate, Dr. Wan commented on each of us but strangely, he gave more in depth remarks on me. He seems to be fond of the idea of commenting me the most; even his son Mr. Ray did the same thing to me, too.

I suppose they both wanted me to be better; better than the rest. How heartening. He commented quite a lot, which I took note of all said. But the most memorable was, "You are relaxed and subject-wise."

Man, that meant a lot. It meant I'm well on my track to be a matured person with head logically filled and a broad perspective to head this rigid life.

I've matured, have I not?

The Calmest Wins

We just had our semi-final debate and as predicted, we the audacious Ninja Turtles grabs the victory as the generous winner.

I didn't feel like elaborating much, just I wanted to point out several out of it.

I have never been involved in a debate prior to enrolling at OLC. In general, all I can conclude of a debate is that it is a place to express your thoughts diplomatically, to practice the freedom of speech and to seek in a different point of view the truth of a certain topic.

Whilst in court, you fight to seek who is right.

By all, the debate with the Barney was the most frustrating of all, thanks to their rebuttal, Ma'wa.

I never had any problem with him before, but him being the proposer of the 'PLKN should be made compulsory' topic was highly inappropriate since he was far from being diplomatic.

"And to think that you opposer are against the idea of National Service should be made compulsory is just disgusting!" And with that, he slammed his notes on the table.

The audience cheered.

Dr. Wan (our teacher and judge) smirked happily.

I frowned in disgust. Shouldn't he be dismissed for disrespecting the members of the debate?

His rebuttal speech was far too sarcastic, he was ridden with emotional and he kept jabbing his index finger towards each and every one of my team member.

When he got to his point of NS building confidence in students, he jabbed, "If you are confident, you wouldn't read your speech on text, or even exceed the five-minute time limit like you did last time, didn't you, Atiqah?"

I stared at him like a living brain donor. The crowd cheered.

When it was my turn, I was tempted with the idea of smacking these right on his face. "As a fellow debater, I am very disappointed with your rebuttal speech. You had not only managed to be uncontrollably emotional, but you had proven you are a loser the moment you mentioned 'disgusting' and smacked the table."

"Like, what the fuck were you doing; being emotional and rude and attacking of personal in an honorable debate? By right, you should be dismissed! Where is the relevancy of my time-exceeding be the yardstick of my confidence? For a stupid man, you sure are the stupidest!"

"If you have a personal vendetta with me, I'm free to settle this outside; be it verbally or fist-to-fist! You are disgusting."

I was taught to be diplomatic in every situation, since the calmest of all wins. And so I did calm down, and pointed out bit by bit of my opinion.

I've been a very fiery person though a logical one at that. I know that a man convinced against his will, is of the same opinion still. No point in debating if you didn't manage to instill your idea in your opponent. Even if you win, you will still lose if you fail to do so.

Our team won, btw. I hope tomorrow's will be a lot better and more diplomatic than today's.

Ardent Dispute

We had our debate on 'Polluter should be severely punished' last Saturday. Yeah, I went to class despite my earlier intention of skipping it. I'm a good student.

It went well, pretty well. We got our facts straight and I do believe I did great. Of course I could have done better, but why work too hard?

There were two rounds of debate that day. Munirah, Ma'wa, Fayyadh and Fateen made up the opposing team Barney & Friends and they went against team Thomas & Friends comprising of Syafiq, Izzati, Farhana and Diyana.

versus

Who won, you might asked? Well, dinosaurs, of course, won by 419 - 390.

The second round was Taufiq, Farihan, Nadia and Fatima in their opposing team Blue's Clues against our intimidating and furiously outspeaking team: Ninja Turtles.

versus

Ninja Turtles sounds a bulk more matured than Barney or Blue or Thomas. Quite out of place, we are. I wonder why we didn't name our group Teen Titans.

Oh, yeah. Titans got 5 main, Ninja got 4.

Well, back to business. For sure it was the Ninja who prevailed the battle of witty remarks with 454 - 417.

Next Wednesday, we brave Ninjas will be opposing the Barney in the topic 'PLKN should be made compulsory.'

The verdict is yet to be known, but Ninja will win. Yeah. Ninjas are a whole lot stronger and smarter than dinosaurs. I know that for fact.

Wearing Debate

We're having a debate on 'Polluters should be severely punished' tomorrow. I'm the team captain for group 2 together with Farahim, Razan and Faizah and we will be the proposer.

I'm tired. I wish we wouldn't have to debate tomorrow. I'm tired with doing all the research and I hope the debate will be postponed to another date.

Maybe I should consider calling in sick. Yeah. But then, I'll disappoint my team.

I probably should go to sleep. It's 12.31 a.m already and my body is slowly shutting down. I've to be at OLC by 8 tomorrow, and my rebuttal text is still being drafted.

I hope I'll sore throat tomorrow. Then I'll have a reason to pull myself out of this.

Since when had I became a quitter? Oh, yeah. Since I got tired searching futilely for Malaysia pollution statistics and amendment of environmental act.

Have a good day, everyone.

KB Mall Outing

Last Wednesday 20th February, my classmates at OLC International 1 class and I went out to outing at KB Mall right after our class ended on that day. Actually, I wanted to come along on condition that Fayyadh will be carrying my bag. He said he would, but changed his mind on the day of the outing. Boys.

The seven of us (me, Munirah, Farihan, Fatima, Fayyadh, Syafiq and Ma'wa) walked from OLC along Jalan Bayam towards KB Mall on Jalan Hamzah. Muhaqquis and Ashraf drove there.

We arrived at Pacific Bowl around 12++, and they bowled happily on 10 sets of game. They took two lanes while I kicked back and enjoyed myself cheering and laughing at them.

I didn't play in favour of reading Dale Carnegie's book, but the music was too loud and Fayyadh brought his new camera, so I opted to taking their pictures instead.

Around 1.30 or so, the eight of them finished their game with Ashraf scoring 118 with one strike. Ma'wa came in second. We packed our stuff and went for lunch at the food court.

I suppose everyone was hungry and tucked in to a lot of food. Nearly everyone opted for a sizzling meal, except me who enjoyed ice cream and crab balls.

Impulsive Infatuation

I fell in love yesterday.

I've known him for quite some times, but never did it occur to me that he could be so heartening. I simply regret not knowing him before this.

He had a gorgeous smile, one that lit his face and reached his eyes, slightly hidden behind those rimless glasses. His auburn hair was casually messy and swayed as the brittle wind blew past it.

It was obvious he needed a haircut, but all those flashing smiles had my tongue all tied up.

He was an elementary school teacher at one of the toughest class in the whole Harlem. I had the golden opportunity of watching him in class, in awe at his teaching style and how he made a class of thick-headed 12-year-old warmed up towards him.

And needless to say, I was struck every time he glanced and flashed those billion dollar smile.

His name was Ron Clark, and he was portrayed by Matthew Perry.

The Ron Clark Story was so fascinating and inspiring that I was immediately captivated and rooted on my spot. The last movie that ever made me do that was Bruce Willis's.

Perry was exceptional and his portrayal in the movie was his best so far. He was glittering with charisma, shimmering with witty remarks and basking in his glorious two hours of brilliant smile.

I should consider refraining myself before I puke myself out.

Regardless of the puppiness, I am officially adding Matthew Perry to my list of favourite actors. You go, Perry!

p/s:
I haven't been able to implement these words into my life, but I'm not worrying. ^.~

Gifted Child

I'm supposed to write something after a long absence, but several health misfits forced me to reconsider my plans.

Since I was a very small kid, I have always considered myself better and much brighter than most of my peers. In my overall performances, I tend to outwit others. Dad will put more responsibility on me and even recognize me as brighter compared to my other siblings.

Which could probably be the reason why I tend to get cocky and quite arrogant. Okay, maybe very. Anyway, I was reading Reader's Digest newest edition and this article on How to Recognize a Gifted Child [Feb 2008, page 138] piqued my interest. Highly.

A gifted child is not a genius and does not have to know everything or do things out of the ordinary, such as play the piano at the age of two or speak several languages at the age of three.

They are basically differentiated from others in their ability to learn much faster and go more deeply into subjects. Some of the characteristic of a gifted child are:

They generally walk and speak before their first year of age.
Dad said I walked at 9 month-old and talk fluently at 14.

They tend to use very rich language and adult-like vocabulary.
He recalled when we went for my first flight when I was around 2-3 years old. I talked and talked and talked on the plane; he said the passengers kept smiling and commenting.

I think they wanted me to stop, but hey, who has the heart to stop a cute chattering child?

They easily remember and understand the information they are given.
Hmm, I suppose I am when I was a kid. Now at the age of 17+, I have the penchant for forgetting things.

They generate a great quantity of idea and solutions to problems.
Yeah, sure I do! Do you know that 1+4=5? And so are 2+3, 1x5, square root of 25, 40/8, 39-34...

They have a well-developed sense of humour.

They have a great deal of curiosity, which makes them question everything.
I question a lot of things, which ultimately put me in a whole lot of problem with the school authorities. Plus it made me question the lack of intelligence in the current federal leaders.

They usually worry about the problem in the world.
For one, I'm worried of the around-the-corner general election. God, please don't let Barisan Nasional take over Kelantan. We are rioting if they do.

They adore reading.
^_^ Number one hobby.

They like complicated board games.
Oh, yeah! Not that I'm any good, but I enjoy teasing my brain.

They are leaders.
I am a Choleric. We are born leaders, double duh~

They persevere [They concentrate on a task and persist until they finish it].
I'm still working on the same problem I had since kindergarten; impressing my big bro.

They have a high level of self-judgement, demand much of themselves, and tend to be dissatisfied.
A life-long problem of mine. When I make any mistakes, even the simplest of it, I know and I talk myself out of it. But then, people will come and advise me about it.

You see, I despise being advised because I hate hearing the same thing all over again. Heck, I even get annoyed when the telly airs the same show all over. Like, be original, folks!

They prefer to work independently and do not need much help.
Yeah, better leave all the hard thing to yourself since most people can't do half a decent job as I can.

They are vulnerable to the rejection of their classmates.
Hmm... That's a different issue. I rather not talk about it.

Back with a Bang

I'm alive, yeah, and still kicking like always. My SPM ended on 4th December ago, but I was caught with another affair with another blog and you know, it is pretty hard to commit to two blogs at the same time.

Ah, yes, I'm obliged to tell you what I have been up to after the end of the terrific battle with SPM.

Taking driving license.

Legally in Malaysia, you have to be 17 and above to qualify for one. I've currently obtained my learner's license and in a couple of days I'll be assessed by my teacher before being assessed by the JPJ guys to finally obtain my PDL!

Then I can drive down to town, buy a new book and head to the nearest beach to read! I am such a meticulous planner.

Studying English at Oxford Language Center.

There's one in Kota Bharu and the place is quite okay. I mean, I get to talk in class. Talk as in, non-stop? At school, they forbade me.

Maybe due to my velocity of speech is directly proportional to the amplitude of my voice. So, yeah. I tend to speak ten miles per hour when I have something to say. I'm talking Physics. That's creepy.

Whether my English has improved or not, we'll see in a couple of months. I've just enrolled in January, give me more time.

Booking our class and batch souvenir shirt.

Yeah, I'm onto it. I've designed the shirts and had it sent to the printing shop. And that was a month ago.

And the next week after that, I went back to the shop to alter the design. I've just called the shop just know to further discuss on the progression. The printing guy, Abang Cik, said they were okay, and I have to pay a 30% deposit before they can start printing.

I know there should have been a down-payment, but the last time I went down the shop, they said nothing about it. It's been delayed, partly my fault.

Either way, I plan on going down the shop on Wednesday. The shirt's price should have jacked up since I altered the design, but I'm okay as long as it's below RM30. If it's above that price, I'm in scorching hot soup.

Catching up on animes and movies.

There's this awesome website, CrunchyRoll, and there's maximega load of animes to be watched! I'm currently onto Clannad and I've just watched 14 episodes out of 24.

It's a very hilarious story with engaging plot laced with sorrow now and then. A great watch and I highly recommend it to you.

And I've grown fond of this guy, Bruce Willis. You know him? Who am I kidding; everyone does! He's a brilliant actor and a great comedian. I'm trying to catch up with most of his movies and I've watched his appearance in the Late Show with David Letterman, which is entirely brain-draining due to the laughter I had fit.

He's a very hilarious guy. Sadly, the telly isn't showing any back-to-back Die Hard which I am dying for. I'll buy the whole set once I've enough money.

I mean, once I've settled in my own place, that is. Quite a long way to go, Atiqah.

Reading.

Yes, I did it all the time. I'm the read freak, remember? I've finished Peter James's Dead Simple, James Twinning's The Double Eagle, Nicola Lindsay's Diving Through Clouds and Michael Connelly's The Closers.

I'm out of books now. So I'm rereading Reader's Digest while waiting for Fanfiction to update.

Somehow, I've quite forgotten about my Physics, Chemistry and Biology reference books. I miss them.

Writing.

Apart from blog-crapping, I mean. I owe A'isyah-nee a story actually and worst of all, I had given her my words that I'll have it finished a week after SPM. And now? It's already 48 days.

I am so not giving my words to anyone. Ever.

Handling usrah.

Even though I'm a school-leaver now, I still enjoy hanging out at the school. Who doesn't, now that I'm free of lectures and homework. I come and go, like the wind.

Dayang-sensei asked me to handle usrah this year, which I had no problem. But I kept getting it clashed with my driving classes and the turn of event see me rescheduling and rescheduling.

Very tiring. I need to get myself a better organizer. Sony Ericsson K300i doesn't do much tricks.

I've requested for my former group. At least, I can get to start back from where I've left off. I need luck with this one, oh yeah.

Humiliated: I'm Cool Now

I've calmed down a little from the hectic episode at school [Humiliated: ARGH!]. Just a bit, I suppose. I no longer hate that guy, just won't be bothered to acknowledge him any longer.

I know someone out there would be proud of me being sensible.

Since I'm in a mellow poetic mode, I'll translate anything I wanna say into a song.

Ah, yes. Atiqah can be mellow at times.

And since I had a thing for loud music, particularly Bon Jovi's, it would be an insult if I didn't use one of their fascinating songs.

From their album Crush; It's My Life

This ain't a song for the broken-hearted
No silent prayer for the faith-departed
I ain't gonna be just a face in the crowd
You're gonna hear my voice
When I shout it out loud
Chorus:
It's my life
It's now or never
I ain't gonna live forever
I just want to live while I'm alive
(It's my life)
My heart is like an open highway
Like Frankie said
I did it my way
I just wanna live while I'm alive
It's my life

This is for the ones who stood their ground
For Tommy and Gina who never backed down
Tomorrow's getting harder make no mistake
Luck ain't even lucky
Got to make your own breaks

Chorus:
It's my life
And it's now or never
I ain't gonna live forever
I just want to live while I'm alive
(It's my life)
My heart is like an open highway
Like Frankie said
I did it my way
I just want to live while I'm alive
'Cause it's my life

Better stand tall when they're calling you out
Don't bend, don't break, baby, don't back down

Chorus:
It's my life
And it's now or never
'Cause I ain't gonna live forever
I just want to live while I'm alive
(It's my life)
My heart is like an open highway
Like Frankie said
I did it my way
I just want to live while I'm alive

Chorus:
It's my life
And it's now or never
'Cause I ain't gonna live forever
I just want to live while I'm alive
(It's my life)
My heart is like an open highway
Like Frankie said
I did it my way
I just want to live while I'm alive
'Cause it's my life!

Take that, old geezer!

Lyrics taken from Dry County. Arigatou gozaimasu.

Messaging Junior

I woke up yesterday to find a message in my handphone inbox. It was from Muhammad Ali Omar, or Ali-san as I call him at school. Or Hiroshi-san whenever I felt like nicknaming him.

He is a junior at school, a classmate of my sister Mir. Ali-san is a very troublesome prefect since the tasks I gave him were rarely done. I never doubt his ability as a prefect, but I do think he can do better.

He's the prefect I always complain about, apart from the Head himself, of course.

Personally, I think he's a good kid. I'm quite fond of his little sister, Hikmah, and sometimes was forced to teach her Science but I'm not complaining about it.

Ali-san is the sixth of seven siblings and his best friend is Taslim. Those two are like belangkas [Malay for... I dunno. Belangkas is a stingray-like animal living in fresh water. Never seen alone, belangkas always move in pairs.].

I wondered what the message was about.

Pray for me, please? Lately, a man passes in front of my house every night. He will look around, carrying with him a knife, charcoal and pieces of meat. Very freaking.

I read with horror. Oh my God, that is so scary!

He will yell...

SATAY! SATAY!

I smirked and laughed at the message. My, Ali-san has a sense of humour afterall.

I replied:

Right. I'll pray that the satay he sells won't temper with your diet.

He replied:

Everytime your name was mentioned, my heart will beat vigorously, for the longing I felt for
you. And my love for you will deepen, for you...

MALAYSIA.

I grinned actually, since I've been given that kind of message months ago. Nice try, haha.

I replied:

I pray to God. God, please forgive the person reading this message. He seldoms read his prayer, God, he's to busy reading messages! Amin...

He replied:

Do you think I'm handsome?

I laughed really hard.

Please tick which is appropriate:
[ ] very handsome
[ ] average
[ ] flattering himself

You replied:
[x] very handsome
[ ] average
[ ] flattering himself

Ah, thank you so much! Did I troubled you? :D

I replied:

Hmm. I think you're handsome. Alright, I'll tick for you.
[x] very handsome
[ ] average
[ ] flattering himself

You're welcome. Answering was a piece of cake. Satisfied, grandpa?

Actually, you're:
[ ] very handsome
[ ] average
[x] very flattering yourself and totally in the clouds.

I meant it as a joke. I laughed and hit Send.

He replied:

I pray to God. God, please forgive the person reading this message for she had broken my heart :( Give her Your guidance and excellency in her SPM and her life here and hereafter. Don't You darken her heart till she hurts another human being. God, You are the Most Generous Giver, amin...

My heart sank. I replied:

Oh my God, did I went too far? I'm so sorry, dear Ali, is your heart really broken? I meant it as a joke, please don't take me seriously. I'm so sorry, I never meant to be harsh. Please don't take it personally, I don't know how to handle it if you do. Thank you for the prayers, but please don't be saddened! I am so sorry.

He replied:

Apologies accepted :) Didn't take it personally, actually. Good luck with your SPM :) My prayers'll be with you till the end...

I read with apprehension. Did he mean it? Oh my, I never thought Ali-san can be that sentimental.

I replied, for good measure:

Infinity of apologies, for my...
harsh words
accidentally mad at you
asked stupid and over random questions
hit you anywhere
yelled at you
borrowed your items
called at the wrong time
sudden mood-swings
backbiting or mocking
and anything that hurts you.
Hope all are forgiven!

He replied:

Go and study. SPM is just around the corner. Okay then, Happy Aidilfitri. Assalamualaikum.

I sighed in relief. That the boy's way of saying, "Drop it. Forget it already." I replied:

Too much distraction in kampung, lol. Yeah, sure :) Okay, have a great day. Wassalam.

Looks like I have to view Ali as a better person now, not that stoic and troublesome boy he used to be.

I've a good mind to buy him some candies, but I think, that can be postponed later.

I like my juniors. Though some may give me a hell load of headaches, some can always makes me feel better. Thanks, Ali.

Racism Sucks

I live in Malaysia, a country with a diversity of races ranging from Malay, aborigines, Indian, and Chinese.
I suppose we live in harmony despite the current hectic crime rates and such, but you get my point.

*Sigh* Just now I played my Fire/Poison Wizard, HaruMitsui [leveled 39 now]. I was at El Nath [the Ice City] and was about to leave for the next map when I saw another character.

There was no monster in town, but his health point was decreasing by 15 each passing seconds. I suppose he was poisoned. And since I had an Antidote with me, I merely dropped one next to him and exited towards the next map without even a mere smiley face.

The cleric [Healer wizard, sort of] followed me then. I supposed he wanted to thank me.

"Erm." He said.

I replied with a smiley face. From his armours, he is at least leveled 50.

"You have scroll?" He asked.

"What scroll?"

"Orbis Tower scroll." Orbis Tower has 20 floors, but you can get to 20th floor from the first by using a teleporting scroll.

I had four, so I dropped one next to him, smiled and be off on my way.

"You gave two items to me for free?"

"Yeah."

"Here, a small gift for you." He then dropped a blue bandanna.

Bandannas are quite rare and can be very expensive depending on their colours. And the one he gave me added strength!

I picked it up. "Wah, thank you!"

"Add me as your buddy." He said with a smile. "If you need any help, you can call for me."

So I smiled and added him. As we walked towards Orbis Tower [me going down towards Aqua Road, him going up towards Orbis.], he gave me his email and asked me to add him on Friendster.

We then parted towards our respective training ground.

I happily obliged. I am good at making new friends, I suppose. So I went to Friendster and added him. He's a Chinese from Singapore.

I went back to Maple and told him of it. He thanked me and smiled.

Suddenly, he buddy chatted [means that all his buddy can read what he said].

"Jun!" He cried for another friend of his. "I am so sad! The girl that added me was a Malay! ARGH! And from Malaysia, too! T.T"

How about that? I merely grinned as I read what he wrote and sort of sweatdropped. Is that a problem? I thought God created human of different genders, races and countries for us to get to know each other.

I checked my buddy list right after that. He was offline.

Then I typed /find [character name] to track him. Sure as I had suspected, he was still online.

I should have seen this coming. When one of your buddy is offline, it is whether he really is offline or he deleted you out of his list.

Then I swiftly opened my Friendster profile and it was crystal that he had deleted me out of his Friendster friends, too.

I was... upset? Not really sure, but I do find this unpleasant.

First, it was he who wanted me to buddy him in Maple and it was he who deleted me.

Second, it was he who wanted me to buddy him in Friendster and it was he who deleted me.

It's his problem, not mine. I never thought someone living in this modern world could be so obscene-minded. I suppose I was naive.

In the end, the blue bandanna was never a gift. It was a business transaction.

Heaven of Boredom

"Kaoru, I'm bored." Haru tugged the hem of her twin's school uniform.

"Oh, yeah?" Kaoru did not even look up from her reading.

"Yeah."

"Go read the Quran, then."

"Okay."

Half an hour later...

"Kaoru, I've read two juzu'." A firm tug on Kaoru's pale yellow uniform.

"..."

"Kaoru, I'm still bored."

"Go bother someone else, I'm trying to read here."

"Hmph." Haru walked out of the area with a prominent scowl on her scrunched up face.

Half an hour later, Haru returned with her lips twisted upwards and her brow creased.

"No juniors around." She sat on the couch. "Kaoru, I'm so bored!"

The current page was flipped.

Haru scowled and her dark eyes carried a dangerous raging fire. She shifted on the couch and tapped her fingers audibly on the armrest.

Tap, tap, tap, ...

"Stop staring at me." Kaoru said tonelessly, merely flipping another page.

"Argh!" Haru nearly tore her hair in frustration. "We shouldn't even come to school today!!"

"But we did, so stop whining and go grab a book."

"The only book available here is the PQS book!" An angry tone matched her angry face. "Hell, I wanna go home!"

"Read the Quran." Another flip of a page.

Haru scowled. She grabbed the Quran and read from where she had left off.

Half an hour later, silent filled the air. Kaoru looked up and saw her twin's eyes closed, head rested peacefully on the coach. The Quran was left wide open.

She closed her dark eyes and fall asleep as well.

Haru opened her eyes and scowled at her sleeping twin. Now who am I going to bother? She thought with a deep frown.

She sat on the floor and faced the wall. After a minute of staring, she shifted a bit and let out an angry sigh.

Ten minute passed and Haru's boredom ten folded. She stood up angrily and walked towards the school office with the intention of finding the school teacher and to nick out some newspaper.
Kaoru woke up after an hour to find Haru burying her head inside today's newspaper. "What's the time now?" She asked, stifling a yawn.

"10.30." Came the answer. "I've endured two hours of boredom."

"Good for you." Kaoru stood up and stretched. "We've got another three hour and a half before school's out."

"ARGH!" Haru slammed the paper down and smacked her head. "I hate this! Teacher won't let me go home and told me to read PQS! Doesn't she know how boring the book is?! I hate this!"

"You asked her?" Kaoru sounded amused.

"Course I do!" Haru death-glared her twin who merely stare emptily back.

"If I know today won't be any lesson, I wouldn't even come." Haru said softly and curled herself into a ball on the couch.

"Didn't Dayang-sensei told us that Rohaida-sensei wanted to tell us something about the PQS exam tomorrow?"

"Dayang-sensei lied." Came the soft yet angry reply. "I've asked Rohaida-sensei, and she said she doesn't have anything to tell us."

Kaoru merely walked over towards where her twin was and sat on the floor with her back leaning on the wall. We were lured to come to school, she frowned. "How cunning."

"How mean." Haru said. And then she went silent.

Kaoru stood up and left her twin to sleep. "Better than have her dying out of boredom." She muttered softly, picked the newspaper up and went to the school office to return it back.

p/s: Yeah, today was a hell day at school. Actually, there was Mrs. Chan's Add Math class at 2 pm, but I left because my precious time was wasted at school.

What were the teachers thinking? Great for them to waste my time as if mine's like shit?! Hell, this is the time when I truly hate being at school!

I so wanna skip school tomorrow! To hell with the PQS exam!

Tomorrow's the last day of school before the Aidil Fitri holiday. [A whole week of school-free! Woo hoo!] On second thought, maybe I should just endure it for the time being.

"How's life, dear?"

"Don't ask."

"You Don't Have to Pretend, Simply Do What You Can."

Today has been a very quiet day. I rarely spoke, something which is very very rare. I have been doing this for the past two weeks though I am not sure of the reason.

And today has been a very unmerciful day. Though nothing annoying happened, I felt so not at rest. It's like, I'm having an inner storm inside. And to make things even more complex, I'm not sure what's wrong with me.

Usually I know what's wrong. Now that I didn't know, I just don't know what to do.

I've read the Quran. Two whole juzu', but I still can't find my inner peace. That's a sure sign I didn't understand one bit of what I've read. This is useless.

Perhaps it's because I'll be sitting for my Physics SPM Trial tomorrow?

Nope. I never fret over exam. I think. I don't think my inner turmoil is because of tomorrow's exam.

Perhaps it's because Ramadhan will be over in about a week?

I suppose. I haven't been pleased with the amount of ibadat I have been doing. Sure, I qiamullail everyday, but I don't know. I haven't had enough of Ramadhan. Not even sure I'll be alive for the next one.

Perhaps it's because Aidil Fitri is just around the corner?

Perhaps. I've bought my Raya clothing, yeah. I even got a new pair of sandals to replace my broken ones (I'll post the beauty next! Haven't got any camera around.) And also a new socks to pair them with. Now the family's planning on going back to the village. I'm not sure whether I'll be going back or not.

I want to; I haven't been back for almost a year. But mom kept saying, if I go, they'll have to bring two cars for the ride and she will have to drive. And then dad said about her being exhausted and the like.

I'm pretty much bored (perhaps a little annoyed). By their sayings, it's as if two cars will be a burden. I had enough, so I just said, "I won't be going. I'll stay at home."

"Is it because of tuition?" Mom said.

I've got tuition on the 19th and 20th October, and by that time, the family is still at the village. I don't want to miss tuition because I can't really study at home. So I gave her a glance and a curt nod.

"Tuition is not that important." Dad added and I rudely interrupted.

"Teacher said he'll be focusing on the subjects crucial for SPM. Maybe it's not important to you." I said tonelessly. "Besides, if I go, you'll have to drive." I glanced at mom. "And you'll be tired. Best if I stay at home."

"Alone?" Dad said.

"Yes."

"No you can't. Someone has to stay with you." And he added something else, in which I sort of ignore. I'm getting ruder by the day.

My decision is final. So I won't be going. And someone's staying with me. I don't know who, I don't care. I can stay alone for all I care.

Man, I am getting ruder by the day.

Perhaps it's because SPM is just four weeks from now?

I never fret over exam. I think. Don't get me fretting; the world'll be in chaos if I do. Lol, like the world isn't now.

Perhaps it's because of the problems at school?

Now you're reminding me. Since the start of Trial, I haven't been able to talk to any of the other students concerning the state of school now. I pretty much kept to myself the whole time.

I did ask a student of any arising problem the other day. She started to talk, but then asked me something else, "Don't you have exam now?"

"Sure." I nodded. "But that's not stopping me from my duty as Head Girl."

I'm Vice Head actually. Since the Head's a boy, that makes me Head Girl.

She nodded then. After a minute of talking, we were interrupted for I was needed elsewhere. Fate must be laughing at the amount of stress I'm having right now.

Having written all this, I suppose my inner turmoil is because of my being stressed. Duh, typical me.

p/s: HaruMitsui is leveled 38 now.

And meet KaoruMitsui, leveled 12 warrior, created a few days back. I'm a juggler of study, life and game. Haha.

I made a new friend today. descent2001, leveled 33 Spearman. He's actually a 24-year-old Chinese from Selangor named Terrence.

When I told him I'm a Malay, he went, "Wow. You're the first Malay friend I have in Maple." And truth be told, all my Maple friends are Chinese, except for three other Malay.

Unconscious Fledged

I'll wake up as usual in the morning, leave the bed unmade and walk steadily towards the kitchen and make a grab for my towel. Then I'll proceed to take a shower, brush my teeth in between and walk out of the bathroom feeling refreshed to start the day.

I'll change into my usual black pants and t-shirt, Solat Subuh, and calmly iron my school uniform despite mom's occasional nagging about me delaying in ironing them instead of doing it before going to bed.

Then I'll unconsciously begin to hum a tune. And that's just exactly what I don't understand about myself. It's as if this self was programmed to sing in accordance to my mood.

The other day I gave an unethical friend the cold shoulder. The next day I subconsciously begin the sing Menghapus Jejakmu by Peterpan.

The other day I was slightly touched and feeling extra mellow-hearted. And again, my hands kept hitting the repeat button for the song Wherever You Will Go by The Calling.

So lately, I've been wondering
Who will be there to take my place
When I'm gone, you'll need love
To light the shadows on your face
If a great wave should fall
It would fall upon us all
And between the sand and stone
Could you make it on your own
If I could, then I would
I'll go wherever you will go
Way up high or down low
I'll go wherever you will go
And maybe, I'll find out
The way to make it back someday
To watch you, to guide you
Through the darkest of your days
If a great wave should fall
It would fall upon us all
Well I hope there's someone out there
Who can bring me back to you
If I could, then I would
I'll go wherever you will go
Way up high or down low
I'll go wherever you will go
Runaway with my heart
Runaway with my hope
Runaway with my love
I know now, just quite how
My life and love might still go on
In your heart and your mind
I'll stay with you for all of time
If I could, then I would
I'll go wherever you will go
Way up high or down low
I'll go wherever you will go
If I could turn back time
I'll go wherever you will go
If I could make you mine
I'll go wherever you will go

Have I finally turn into a full-fledged girl? That's creepy...
