Practicing Hallucinations

Lectures post-revolution are riddled with puns of the revolution itself. I guess you can say it is in the act of pride of the Egyptians.

Also and I believe I have stated before, studying for Pathology jars is basically practicing hallucinations.

If you are pure-hearted, you will see that this lesion is yellow. If you are sinned, cunning and whatever, you'll see it as grayish black.

'But what if I see it black?' one of you might ask. Well, you're in hell already, then.

But seriously, in the exam you have to write it as yellow. Maybe 1300 years ago it was yellow but after the formalin, old age and revolution, it changes colour.

I hate Alzheimer's

I hate that you're going to forget the people you love the most. I hate that you're going to forget the very meaning of life, forget why you even exist. I hate that it's killing you.

I hate that I can't do anything about it.

"Now that we're here, we might as well make this real."

Lazy

I was told that I'm the laziest medical student around, up to the point that "if you work just a little bit harder, you'll get excellence for sure."

This is of no surprise, I'm acquainted with this fact since I was in primary secondary school. My parents know I am not as hard-working as my brother, who once told me the secret for his 4 flat was "sleeping 4 hours only."

Well I sleep for 4 hours too (yeah, right), but that's not the point. We siblings are different, and our parents celebrated this differences by tailoring how each of us gets treated.

Uh oh. Now I feel like going snowdiving. Since the jelly beans are spilled, we might as well do something about this, right?

Marriage

I'm all for marriage. Give me a married couple as the characters and I'll be all for them. Like Henry and Teddy lol ;)

My rational is simply that it's the right thing to be. A male-female couple rightfully belongs in a marriage, nothing less. And even so, the transition period is also very crucial, to see how pious you are to go by Allah's book, or will you do instead what every other couples do.

A big shame if you do the latter.

p/s: The title is connected, I assure you. If you don't get it, then you're not thinking hard enough.

World Turtle Day

23rd May is World Turtle Day.

So as your hyper animal activist, viral spread among the community is a must. But since we have our Microbiology practical final exam on this same day, I couldn't focus on campaigning for the Green Baju Day, but I did my so-called best with the people I encountered.

But of course, you can't save the turtles simply by wearing green, nothing is that simple. The primary aim is simply education. Education is the keystone for changes.

Everything around us belongs to the NEXT generation, thus for us to preserve it. Imagine no more Ninja turtles. Next-generation Haru will be an irreversible wreck :(

---

All this warrant a good question, "So what's up with Green Baju Day?"

We're dressing up for the part, to make things fun and memorable. So there's a point in everyone's life today allocated for the remembrance of our duty to (the very least) nature.

Pulling a Konata

Konata of Lucky Star is an MMORPG-playing geek who spend all her time playing games, reading manga, watching animes, working in a cosplay cafe to pay for her hobbies, all between going to school and nothing less.

Of course, you wonder how she passed through her grade and enjoyed the same year as her relatively well-studied friend.

That is because she brought home all her books the day before the start of Exam Week in order to cram in during her exam all-nighters. And crammed she did; she succeeded an 86/100 for one of her midterm exam, to the disbelief of Kagami who managed 89 with her all-year hard work.

As Kyon of Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu once said and I quote, "The distribution of attributes is random."

Now imagine hard work + cramming, hehe.

---

It is really The Final Exam season. ^~^

Hopefully we'll do our bestest and take the greatest care of ourselves and our deeds. Maybe pull a Konata in between, but still have to be Kagami considering the amount we have to study.

May our success be the manifestation of our piousness. With that in mind, I'm sure Allah will grant us nothing less than the best for us.

All the best guys, I'll see you in the exam and in Fourth Year, insyaAllah ;)

Proud #2

I believe everyone is mouldable into a relatively better person than before. We are gifted with immense potentials, limitless should I say. We just have to believe in ourself and give it a shot and who knows, maybe you'll even enjoy yourself doing so.

Of course, it requires that we know that person enough to know which criteria to build, his capacity and also degree of tolerance. This is to ensure the developmental process can be proceeded with fluency; this stage is crucial for the betterment of our generation.

And it helps to start with something easy at first, so that you'll be all smiles and thrilled with the success and may that keeps you fueled for the next challenge and insyaAllah, more successes.

Tonight, I declare one mission accomplished.

Malaysian Wedding 101

"Do you have any tradition in a wedding reception? Yes? Like what?" Dr. Sherin Wehfi of Pharmacology practical asked the class last Saturday.

"Kompang," the boys chanted.

"What is kompang?" She asked further.

Chip who was sitting in front row made beating gestures with his hands.

"You beat your wife?"

The Omelette Tragedy

6.15pm
It finally came to the eat-now-damn-you-or-pass-out moment and I placed my order for my first meal of the day.

6.25pm
I whined.

"Sabar la Tiqah," the senior on the next table said. "Yang kakak ni order pun tak sampai lagi."

I was silent as I eyed her from behind my veil. She prompted, "Tiqah tunggu apa?"

"Telur dadar," I said flatly. She doubled over in laughter.

I waited not-so happily while munching and forking my plain rice. This could very well be my last meal here and please note the double entendres.

6.35pm
After blinking out of my state of trance, I marched solemnly up to the cashier and inquired the whereabout of my omelette. He istighfar-ed on the spot and ran back to where the kitchen is, perhaps to urge the hen to step on it.

It felt nice to remind people of Allah, but I was too hypoglycemic at that moment.

6.40 pm
My oily telur dadar arrived. I congratulated the guy for succeeding in sending it over safely.
