Stood patiently in front of the doctor in-charge of ER tonight as she talked to the patients. The rest of the staffs were already aware of our presence and Ammu Saeed the attendance welcomed us aboard, but it is respectful to ask for permission formally to the busiest person in the ER.
She looked up after a while and stared directly at me.
"Yes doctor how are you, are you joining us tonight?" In Arabic without missing a beat.
I did a take behind my shoulder, perhaps there was a real doctor standing behind me. There was none. She really was talking to me. "Yes, with your permission."
Did I look that convincing? If only the attire makes the person...
