Gay and Happy

In Islam, being a homosexual1 can be your path to Paradise.

Suprised? That is by abstaining from practicing to please Allah, the Creator of mankind. Subhanallah.

It wasn't the gender-preference that was punished, it is in the practice of homosexuality itself.

And his people came rushing towards him, and they had been long in the habit of practicing abominations. He said: "O my people! Here are my daughters: they are purer for you (if ye marry)! Now fear Allah, and cover me not with shame about my guests! Is there not among you a single right-minded man?"

(11:78)

Prophet Lut's people were condemned2 by Allah because of practicing what was forbidden, and Allah as the All-knowing Creator will never forbid something unless it presents any harm to us, whether we know it or not.

---

The key here is abstaining anything forbidden by Allah to please Him and be granted His blessings. Like all things forbidden, say, drinking or gambling or talking back to our parents; even if you feel like doing so but you refrain for the sake of His blessings, that is your part of charity on yourself.

Abi Musa reported that the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: Giving of Sadaqa is essential for every Muslim.

It was said (to him): What do you say of him who does not find (the means) to do so? He said: Let him work with both his hands, thus doing benefit to himself and give Sadaqa.

It was said to him: What about him who does not have (the means) to do so? He said: Then let him assist the needy, the aggrieved.

It was said: What do you say of one who cannot even do this? He said: Then he should enjoin what is reputable or what is good.

He said: What about him if he cannot do that? He (the Holy Prophet) said: He should then abstain from evil, for verify that is Sadaqa on his behalf.

You do your math ;)

p/s: This was said before the start of yesterday's course, so to be observed by those who came late! Boo! (haha)

Assalamuu'alaikum.

I do agree that abstaining from what ALLAH forbids in order to please him is in fact, a good deed.

The problem here is, Homosexuality is not an inherited condition. Nobody in this world is born to be attracted to the same sex. (Although I don't know what Verse or Hadith myself to support this statement, but I'm confident that I'm right about it)

God created ALL HUMAN to be attracted to the opposite sex. So, there's never an issue of being born as a Homo in the first place.

Cheers :D
