4th Dec: Central London; Day Three

After dad gave me 100 pound to go shopping today amounting my pocket money to 152 pound, I set off for the bus towards Tower Bridge.

Yesterday was outdoor, today is partly indoor.

Yesterday was rainy, today is sunny.

Ye, saya sedang ketawa.

It wasn't even 9 am when I hopped off at Tower Bridge Road bus stop. Stores were closed and there I was, one macho traveller with her map out trying to figure out which way is the infamous Tower of London.

Thankfully there was this obscured road sign. I set off.

And walked up a pretty long road. Alone (no, not lonely) and cold.

Stopped when I saw silvers shining in the sun. Poked my nose around the local silverware yard sale.

Very beautiful and I'm sure mom would have appreciated the wares. I didn't buy anything though as I was antique illiterate.

Continued walking another long road towards Tower Bridge.

Too cold. Decided to be wise and took the bus.

And we were at Tower Bridge in a mere second.

Tower Bridge undergoing facelift

Three passengers stepped in. One looked like a Malay. He flashed his Oyster card, looked up and was that a smile?

Finally, a familiar face on the road.

Teringat Syaimaa. Smirked evilly.

Appreciated the River Thames scenery. Wah, tu Tower of London la!

Looked around. Now which stop should I get off?

Pandang belakang. Oh, budak Melayu itu sedang berdiri. Dia nak turun gak ke?

Segan la kalau bawak keluar peta depan dia. Biar dia turun dulu la.

Maka, I was the last person to exit the bus at that particular stop.

Turun slow-slow. Kamu, cepat le jalan.

To my unexpressed horror, he stalled and waited for me.

Argh, camne nak bawak keluar peta ni?!

Walked tentatively and looked up expectantly. Soalan pertama that came out with a charming smile, "Melayu ke?"

Tidak, ana orang Arab. "Ye." Sengih politely.

Seterusnya ke Tower of London. Mencari tempat duduk dan sms Syaimaa with evil girl glee. Oh yeah, shoot me.

Queen's House of the Tower of London

I regretted not entering since this historical fortress boasted a lot of genre, including horror that is my cup of tea.

Towers to explore, ravens to scare, treasures to uncover, executions to remember...

My loss.

Oh well, all the more reasons to come back again, eh? ;)

Saw London Bridge from afar. Apekah? Ia sekadar jambatan biasa?

Tak mau la pergi.

Moved on towards Britain at War Museum.

Britain at War Museum at Tooley St

Entrance to the underground bunker

Moved quickly through the underground bunker to make a dash towards the toilet. (again, remember yesterday?)

Enjoyed my time leafing through the World War 2 campaign.

Briton and Egyptian do have something in common;
there's no such thing as no time for tea

Roles of healthcare professionals during WW2

The sign said, 'Children are allowed to wear them.'
Tunggu ape lagi!~

Insincere will lead to loss of pahala and Allah's ignorance during the Day of Judgement.
So don't be too proud of yourself, Atiqah.

Everyone was in the war, ladies never excluded.

Children evacuated to less likely areas for an air raid; countryside, Canada etc

Entered the blitz. It was... odd. Agak menggerunkan. And this is just the recreation.

How are our brothers in the frontline of Palestine?

Walked out with my penny trampled into Britain at War souvernir.

Puas. Though I surmised Imperial War Museum might be a better catch.

Hihi... all the more reasons to come back!

Walked and saw a Halal sign. Oh, ayam goreng!~ Dah lama tak makan.

6 pound.

Berlalu pergi menunggu bas. Dasar makhluk kedekut.

Bersiar-siar di London Eye.

London Eye, the largest of it in Europe.
Only supported by an A-frame on one side.
Still, no one can challenge the pillar-less sky~

Movieum of London ada diskaun tiket 5 pound. Nak masuk ke? Of course not.

Ada Christmas Festival di sekitar. Warna warni serta bau daging yang sedap berjaya mengumpan saya.

Heaps of jelly beans and marshmallows await!

Man, bad landing. My belt just ripped off...

Tanning in London

Walked across the River Thames via Millenium Bridge yang cantik.

I love the sky. It is uncomparable.
It further reminds me I am 24-7 under His mercy, literally.
Millenium Bridge is the spiky-poled one in front of London Eye,
build to commemorate the beginning of the new millenium (year 2000).

Mengejar burung merpati di Victoria Embankment Park on the way to Trafalgar Square.

A much peaceful oasis in Central London.
Statues erected here and there and pigeons everywhere!

Selak jam. Oh. Tidak.

Berkejaran berlari naik bas. Turun di Oxford Street untuk tukar bas dan survey harga barang sekejap. Please, let me be at the hotel before dad comes back!

And run I did.

Berguling atas katil. Lapar, tak lunch padahal sandwich tuna serta dua biji tomato dikelek je dalam beg dari pagi tadi.

Ratah semua benda tu.

Papa balik. Dia ajak pergi balik Malaysia Hall. "Rasa dah lama tak makan nasi."

Ketawa. Kami naik bas lagi.

Dua bas je! Dan takde la lama sangat nak sampai; no intervals of shivering under the bus stop.

Mantap, tahniah kak!

"Bagus la, you're getting better than yesterday."

Hehe.

Kami makan nasi. Dan, "Akak, keropok lekor ada?"

"Ada."

":D Petang tadi masa saya datang, takde."

"Kami goreng lewat sikit hari ni."

:D :D :D Alhamdulillah~

Berturut makan. Bertuah betul.

Ke Oxford Street untuk membeli belah. Papa beli beg extra, haha.

Dan kembali ke hotel untuk packing barang.

---

Banyak lagi tempat tak pergi. Nak datang Hyde Park lagi. Sayangnya. Rindu la.

Summer bila-bila nanti, nak datang lagi... Next time, I'll bring lots of canned tuna.

And my business card. Yes. Expand your network, haha.
